3 Then another sign appeared in heaven: an enormous red dragon with seven heads and ten horns and seven crowns on his heads. 
4 His tail swept a third of the stars out of the sky and flung them to the earth. The dragon stood in front of the woman who was about to give birth, so that he might devour her child the moment it was born.

Figurative head = leader, or pastor 
Figurative horn = person of authority 
Figurative tail = false prophet

Physical Characteristics of head: 
- Controls and rules over whole body 
Physical Characteristics of horn: 
- Attached to head and represents sign of authority 
- Used as weapons in fight 

1. The Figurative Head and Horn 


Is 29:9-10) Head: seer, leader, or pastor 
Rv 17:12) 10 horns: 10 kings (who have not yet received a kingdom), people of authority 
→Figurative head = leader (pastor) 
→Figurative horn = person of authority 

Different types of head and horn: God's belonging and Satan's belonging 

1) The Head and Horn that Belongs to God 
Eph 4:15) Head = Christ 
Rv 1:5) Head over all kings of earth: Jesus 
→Head that belongs to God = leader whom God is with 
Rv 5:6) Lamb: 7 horns, 7 people of authority 
→Horn that belongs to God = person at authority whom God is with 

2) The Head and Horn that Belongs to Satan 
Gn 3:15) Offspring of woman → Head of snake 
Rv 12:9) Great dragon = ancient serpent = devil = Satan 
Rv 12:3) Red dragon: 7 heads and 10 horns 

Realities of 7 heads and 10 horns 
Rv 17:7) Mystery of woman and beast which has 7 heads and 10 horns 
Rv 17:9-10) 7 Heads = 7 Mountains: 7 kings 
→ Reality of 7 heads = 7 pastors, whom Satan is with 

Rv 17:12) 10 horns = 10 Kings: who have not yet received kingdom but received authority as kings 
→ Reality of 10 horns = 10 people who received authority from Satan 

Heads and horns that belong to God and Satan in Book of Revelation 
God - Head: Jesus →  7 horns 
Satan - 7 heads: 7 pastors → 10 horns 


2. The Figurative Tail 


Is 9:14) Tail refers to false prophets who teach lies 
Rv 9:19) their tails are like snakes(belongs to Satan) 
→ Figurative tail = false prophets 

Rv 12:3-4) 
The location of the event = Heaven: tabernacle 
The beast introduced the dragon with 7 heads and 10 horns and this beast also has a tail. This false prophets make the stars that belong to God turn into belong to Satan.
