Shincheonji Graduates Nearly 60,000 Including 2,248 Pastors in Bible Education Program
Shincheonji Church of Jesus recently celebrated a remarkable milestone with 59,192 graduates completing their 116th Zion Christian Mission Center course on November 2nd, bringing total graduates to over 700,000 since the program's inception.
The Zion Christian Mission Center offers comprehensive Bible education covering the entire scripture from Genesis to Revelation. The curriculum focuses on "prophecy and fulfillment"—the core of Christian scripture—teaching God's purpose and the complete flow of the Bible. Students progress through three levels (elementary, intermediate, and advanced) and must score 90% or higher on final exams to graduate. Despite returning to full in-person classes post-pandemic, this term attracted nearly 60,000 students, demonstrating a growing thirst for biblical understanding across denominations. Remarkably, 2,248 pastors graduated in this session alone, with over 13,500 clergy members completing the program in the past four years.
Oh Seon-kyung, who founded three churches during his pastoral career, shared his transformative experience at the graduation ceremony. "Even after reading the Bible over 30 times, I couldn't find answers. The Zion Christian Mission Center clearly explained the Book of Revelation—something no seminary or church could teach me. This teaching completely transformed my life," he said. He expressed that the education offers systematic Bible study covering Genesis to Revelation, with expert instruction on difficult biblical passages and certificates awarded upon passing rigorous exams. The program welcomes Christians from all denominations seeking deeper understanding of scripture.
The graduation ceremony, themed "Love, Blessing, and Light Illuminating the World," featured speeches from religious leaders emphasizing that this education represents not an ending, but a new beginning toward truth and love.
