There are countless religions in the world. But which is the true religion and who is the founder of religion? Why was religion given to us?

☝In this lesson, we are going to learn why we need religion and how it's relate to us! 

Jn 3:31-34 

31 The one who comes from above is above all; the one who is from the earth belongs to the earth, and speaks as one from the earth. The one who comes from heaven is above all. 

32 He testifies to what he has seen and heard, but no one accepts his testimony. 

33 The man who has accepted it has certified that God is truthful. 

34 For the one whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God gives the Spirit without limit. 

➨ Heavenly teaching, Earthly teaching 

✓What is religion? 

In Korean, the letter of 'Religion' represents 宗 (/jong/, "highest")  敎 (/gyo/, "teaching")

➨ It means the highest teaching (the heavenly level)

Religion = Teaching that reconnect the lifeline that was cut 

1. Religion 

1) Religion's owner (founder) 

God, the Creator of heaven and earth

2) Types of religion 

Christianity, Confucianism, Buddhism, Islam, and Hinduism among others. 

3) Religious Scripture 

Writing that make known God's will to people

Bile of Christianity  

Jn 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 

3) Reason and purpose of religion 

God of life ➜ Heaven (Eternal life) 

2 Tim 3:15) and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 

Mt 7:21) "Not everyone who says to me, "Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 

Satan of death ➜ Hell (Eternal punishment) 

Jn 12:48) There is a judge for the one who rejects me and does not accept my words; the very words I have spoken will condemn them at the last day. 

Rv 20:12) And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. 

2. What is the true meaning of faith? 

1) Standards of faith 

Jn 1:1) Word=God 

1 Jn 1:1-2) Jesus 

➨  Faith: believing in the Word(promise) of God and Jesus 

2) Faith that God acknowledges 

Mt 7:21) "Not everyone who says to me, "Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
