Why we need to know the meaning of the Bible? 

☝Here's the reason why we should know the Bible

Mt 7:21 

Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 

Hos 4:6 

my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge. "Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priests; because you have ignored the law of your God, I also will ignore your children.

➨knowledge : knowledge of the Bible 

Jn 17:3 

Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. 

We must find out how we can know God and Jesus. 

The Bible is the only way to know God and the one who he sent Jesus

✓What is the Word since the beginning?

Jn 1:1-5

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 

2 He was with God in the beginning. 

3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 

4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 

5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

1 Thes 5:1-9 ) There are sons of the light and sons of darkness

1 That which was from the beginning, which was have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked at and our hands have touched - this we proclaim concerning the Word of life. 

2 The life appeared; we have seen it and testify to it, and we proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and has appeared to us. 

➨regarding Jesus

✓The Word regarding eternal life

Jn 4:24 

God is spirit, not flesh, and His worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth. 

Jn 1:32-34 

The Spirit came down from heaven as a dove and remained on Jesus. 

Jn 10:30 

God and Jesus have become one (the spirit and the flesh in one body). 

Mt 4:4 

Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God." 

➨spirit gives us life

Jn 6:67-68 

"You do not want to leave too, do you?" Jesus asked the Twelve. Simon Peter answered him. "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. 

➨the food of eternal life is the word that comes from the mouth of God 

*This is the reason why we must understand the value of the Word since the beginning. 

✓God's seed and being born again with the Holy Spirit 

What does God's seed mean?

Lk 8: 11

"This is the meaning of the parable: The seed is the word of God."

the one who with God's seed ->becomes God's child 

the one who with Satan's seed ->becomes Satan's child 

If you want to become a God's child, then you have to reborn with God's seed.

1Pet 1:23

For you have been again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God. 

Mt 13:37-39 

Through the seed of the Word that we become the sons of God. 

The good seed: the sons of the kingdom of heaven 

The weed : the sons of the devil 

Acts 17:29 

Therefore since we are God's offspring, we should not think that the divine being is like gold or silver or stone- an image made by man's design and skill. 

Jn 10:35 

If he called them 'gods,' to whom the word of God came - and the Scripture cannot be broken -

Jas 1:18 

He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created. 

✓Being born through the Word of Truth 

1Cor 3:16-17 

16 Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that God's Spirit lives in you? 

17 If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him; for God's temple is sacred, and you are that timple. 

Jn 17:17-19 

Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth. As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world.
